Four questions. Five areas. No account.

BestBarrio does not search property listings. It works out which parts of Madrid are worth searching first—the decision most people skip before signing in the wrong place.

The journey

From your week to a useful shortlist

  1. 01

    Tell us about your week

Add what you can afford and the places you return to: work, university or someone's home, including how often you go.

  2. 02

See areas you had not considered

Five real areas across Madrid and its metropolitan ring, each showing what you save and what changes in your routine.

  3. 03

Search for a home in the right places

Compare two or three side by side and leave with a shortlist. Property portals become useful once you know what to search for.

What we ask

Every question, shown upfront

You know exactly what to expect. There are no hidden questions and no email form at the end.

What you can afford

Your comfortable maximum monthly rent, and whether you need an entire home or a room.

Where you regularly go

Up to three destinations: work, university or someone's home. A street or place name is enough.

How often and how you travel

Days per week for every destination, plus public transport, car, bike or walking.

What you want nearby

Shops, green space, sport or social life. Choose up to four to enrich each area's details.

What you get

What appears on the other side

Five areas, not five hundred

Five genuinely different alternatives, each with a clear reason to be there. An endless list only creates another filtering task.

Savings and journey cost

Monthly euros and daily minutes shown side by side, never hidden inside an opaque score.

Your complete week

Total weekly return-journey time across all your destinations and attendance days.

A proper comparison

Put two or three areas side by side and see the best figure in each row without juggling browser tabs.

What we do not do

These boundaries matter because most housing products work differently.

  • We do not show listings. BestBarrio is not a property portal. It helps you decide what to type into one.
  • No account, email or sales call. Open it, answer and leave. Nobody follows up.
  • We do not store your addresses. They are used to calculate journeys and nothing else.
  • We do not hide results inside a score. Savings and minutes stay separate because only you can decide which matters more.
  • We do not declare one neighborhood universally better. We show what changes if you live there. The final choice is personal.
Questions

What people usually want to know

What exactly does BestBarrio do?

It shows you which areas of Madrid are worth searching before you open property listings. Enter your budget and regular destinations to get concrete alternatives with the rent saving and journey-time trade-off made explicit.

Do you show homes for rent?

No. BestBarrio is not a property portal and carries no listings. It solves the previous decision: where to search. You leave knowing which areas to use on the property portals.

Do I need to register or pay?

No. Answer a few questions and view your areas for free, with no account or email address required. It takes about two minutes.

Is it useful if I already have a neighborhood in mind?

Especially then. Most people arrive with two or three familiar names; the useful part is finding other areas that offer the same routine for less rent or a shorter weekly commute.

Does it work outside Madrid city?

Yes. It covers Madrid city and connected municipalities in the metropolitan ring, where some of the strongest rent-versus-journey opportunities appear.

What happens to my addresses?

They are used to calculate journeys and nothing else. There is no account or profile, and the addresses are not stored for marketing.
